Beckham Galaxy

Bend it like spice boy (his goal scoring free kick)

The only reason why people came to see tis match

I need one of tis

Ta score tells it all.. not the final score though.. Sydney scored another goal but i was too lazy to update my pix ^_^

Work week was as chaotic as i predicted wif the absence of the accounts gal. The new gal is picking up real fast and tis week should be a lot better ^_^ The highlight of my week was the LA Galaxy vs Sydney FC match. I was given a free ticket to the match and was seated about 4 rows from the front ^_^ Amazingly, that's the 1st time i ever watched a live football match or even entered a stadium to watch anything.. really "sua ku". Boring game. The LA Galaxy guys barely ran and Beckham was strolling around the field most of the time. However, i did manage to get a few nice shots of him.. including a shot of him taking the goal scoring free kick. Sadly i didn't get to see the goal coz i was too busy trying to take his photo.. sigh.

Didn't know he wud score.. figured all i could gain from ta match was his photo ^_^ he was practically strolling around the whole game.

Aiya, he has to score lah. What kind of image would he send out if he completed the game with no goals, and just an impression of him having his 'evening walk'?

I reckon Becks should do better with the million$$ he earns like giving money to charity or fund a climate change project.

i suppose he feels he needs the $$ to maintain his wife and lifestyle ^_^

Hmmm...actually, I feel he should focus on selling more T-Shirts. That way he can earn more and it's better use of his time. His move to LA Galaxy...bad idea. All it did was expose the unsuspecting American crowd to Posh...:)

Well, at least you got to watch a live football match in a real life stadium. Have not done that before :). Watched a baseball game in a stadium, an American Football game and a live basketball game in a basketball stadium...but not soccer.

Lingie,

Ben & I are thinking of going to UK someday to watch our beloved clubs play live. Good thing Liverpool and ManU are somewhat "neighbours", i.e. north of UK. Wanna come?

hmm... watching live games.. i've been to a few soccer matches (exhibition match MU vs Msia - years back), Melb tigers basketball, Oz open tennis, a few AFL matches but missed the cricket!!

Heard it's pretty ex for a ticket. My friend paid 300+ pounds per tix to a Man U match...of course, he got them off a scalper, which is probably why. Even so, the actual tix is pretty ex to begin with...for the good matches.

I would not mind joining you guys...if not for the soccer, which I'm not really into, but for the trip :)

When I was in UK the last time, there were people I know from the soccer forums who were willing to sell me tickets for 100-150 pounds but on away games.

it's just a one off experience trip to UK to watch a live match. So.. are we setting target dates?? Are we going when we are retired or during our prime or during our back-slide years??

Kaz said...

Is this your prime years?

I'm going too. Thanks. London markets are calling my name. And I don't mind watching soccer live. As long as we don't meet any yobos.

we are in our ultimate prime now.. in a year or 2.. it's back sliding years time :(

I sometimes wonder if I'm on the right track: spending my prime years, working my tail off, getting hyper-stressed, not spending enough time with family, etc., etc...

Just so that in my back-sliding years I get to do everything that I'm missing now?

So depressing, talking about us in our prime...

well..yyee.. society believes that we should be most productive at tis stage of our life. we are supposed to be able to work like mad and still have enough strength for our family ^_^ i suppose most of us can be thankful that we still have gud health and are still able to push ourselves.
