Efforts to look young and think young ^_^ Dun ask me how she can solve ta rubik's cube tis wayA week of changes. Labour is back in power. Ivy and me were reminiscing our uni days when labour were in power then. Memories of trains not arriving and news of factories closing down coz of labour strikes.. high interest rates. We wonder why people have such short memories. Changes were happening at work too.. the accounts/admin/receptionist girl resigned and friday was her last day. I have grown to depend on her a lot.. i think too much. Anyway, this week should be a challenging work week. I have even roped in ivy to help me pick up phone calls for a few days until i get things sorted out in the office ^_^ Oz Idol was a disaster for us too.. the guy who we were supporting lost.. ah well.

i guess those who voted for labor are those who didnt realise that labor did to us poor souls who had to miss trains due to union strikes....
oh well.. it's like these stupid rallies these pple are having in KL, which closes roads and causes terrible traffic jams & police road blocks...
hmmm.. the accounts/ admin girl leaving... ouch!! that's going to be real tough especially if she's been there for a while, so things are done so easily without much hassle.. but that's life!!!

Ben, what did you do to your admin ? I have been telling you...sitting on your lap is not part of her job scope. :) See, now she's gone and left you hanging...
Seriously though, sometimes we don't realise how much we depend on our admins...unfortunately, or fortunately, I don't have an admin...I just have to beg my colleague's admin for help. Get scolded sometimes, but that's life eh ? :)
the admin/acc/receptionist gal has been the right hand of all the bosses that i have worked for. she knows the accounts better than the boss, shields the boss from un-warranted ppl/calls and is the pillar of the office admin.
unfortunately i am not the owner of tis company and therefore am not able to reward her financially. suffering big time now :-P
My office/admin manager is very good at what she does but boy, is she temperamental. Even the bosses are "afraid" of her. Since you missed your chance to harass your office girl, you can do it now - ring her every hour starting at 2am.
It's probably a blessing in disguise for Labour to win the election. They won't know what hit them when they have to deal with increasing inflation, low housing affordability and invasion of boat people! I watched an interview with Rudd on the telly and he's either naive or stupid to think Christmas Island can house ALL the refugees - he was saying Australia do not need to outsource the handling of refugees to other countries like the Pacific islands. I guess it could work if he turned the red crabs in Christmas Islands into human killing machines
Christmas Island will be able to house all the refugees .......... cos there won't be all that many new ones dropping in! Kevin Rudd has the same refugee policy as Howard - turn the boats back! turn the boats back!
oh well.. i guess you guys have no choice but to sit out 3 years and see what happens....

I got the face steamer in Priceline for less than $15. Good deal and it works better than what I expected. The steaming effect is there but whether or not my face gets better depends on what I do after the steaming effect, i.e. squeezing the right stuff out from the pores, toning up, moisturizing... Since I don't have the professional tools that beauty salons have, I normally follow up with a bit of squeezing, nose pack, and my japanese mask. If I am not lazy, maybe a bit of massage too. But, salon style is definitely much better lor. :P
