Human Exhibition

The Carnival outside the Exhibition Hall. Not much of an appetite after seeing sliced up human bodies.

Took this photo while waiting for the ferry. Did a little of editing for the effects. Posted it coz i felt it looked good ^_^

The pictures do not seem to have any relevance to the title. That's coz i wasn't allowed to take photos in the human body exhibition. Went to a human body exhibition that had real human bodies. All the liquid in the muscles, skin and bones were sucked out and replaced with a concoction of plastic to preserve them. It was a really good exhibition.. there were exhibits of thinly sliced bodies, internal organs.. blah blah. Our body is quite amazing. But for the life of me, i can't point out where our kidneys, liver or pankreas are.

The exhibition did get me thinking about our creator. The creater thought about the need of every part of our body.. the concept of DNA which pre-programs our little cells to grow into a heart, kidney, brain....How many times the creater had to experiment... the wierd creatures that were created as part of the earth zoo.. and how long will it take for us to gain the knowledge to do similar things. Too bad i doubt the questions will be answered in my lifetime.

Visited an animal farm on Easter Sunday (instead of attending church.. hee hee) The farm had special easter events for kids. They hid easter eggs around the farm, and the kids had a ball of a time ransacking the farm for the eggs (and the poor parents had to run after those kids :-P ) It's something different for me.. a pleasant experience.

Met up with Aunty Betty, Yuan and Yen Ling on Easter Saturday. It's always great to have family around.. except when fighting for the lunch bill. The "fight for the bill" tradition has to STOP !! The only way i can win in a bill fight is for me to cook the meal myself... geez. The photos above were taken in Vic Market.

Spent good friday weekend in Melbourne. Bunked in wif the Khoo's. Pictures above taken by Alan's kid, Hayden Khoo, in the Khoo's residence. Rather comical watching Hayden trying to carry the D50 camera wif his tiny hands. But the photos came out rather well ^_^

Cook it Jap Way

I have decided to pursue some of my hobbies since i have more time these days. I have started programming (will show off some of my websites later ^_^), photography (thus the creation of this blog site) and cooking ! I am already quite ok with chinese stuff, and have experimented with a few italian dishes, but japanese cuisine has always been a mystery to me (not to mention ivy normally uses all her instant sauses from Jap for her Jap dishes.. which i dunno how to use coz i can't understand the label :-P ) This week is Jap cuisine week.. invested in Jap ingredients, bought a cook book and even a new clay pot. The pix above is my seafood stew in konbu+miso daishi. It was gud :)

Next weekend is Easter Weekend... Will be in Melb for that occasion !
