One evening in Manly

Idyllic Manly Beach

Ah.. such a romantic view from Manly Ferry Terminal

Sydney Harbour shot from the Ferry

I fell off my roller blades a few months back when i was rolling down a step hill and damaged my skates. Never got around to repair them till this week. Manly beach was the only place that had a proper skate shop. Prior to coming to Sydney, i had this image that roller blading was a popular sport there. Well.. it isn't. They are only interested in extreme skates and not leisure street skating. There are rather nice skating paths around here, but Sydney is a hilly city. You gotta be really good at stopping when rolling down hills.. of which i ain't ^_^. I did enjoy my ferry ride to Manly. The ride back in the late evening was particularly nostalgic, coz the river view in semi darkness reminded me very much of my travels in Laos with Ivy. Loas is a beautiful country.. i really do hope to go back there in the future.

Wow! I'm 1st to comment. Your photo shoot is getting better & better. I like the beach shoot. Did you take it with yr DSLR?

Eh? Thanx Ah Yang. Yup, most of my pictures are taken using my D50 DSLR. It is better at taking night shots, but your normal compact camera takes just as good day shots. ^_^

Why not post a pic of Luang Prabang here. I feel nostalgic too.

I can't emphasize anymore than this. Bend your knees when going downhill...bend your knees...bend your....ben, your knees~~~

heehee .. wei yang's getting into the blogging comments! guess i'm late. nursing splitting headache for few days.

erm, looking at ivy's advice, guess you won't master downhill anytime soon since your knees are shot! ;P

memory must be faulty. when were you guys in laos again? you've to tell me all about it.

Okie... will post Laos pix in ta next blog ^_^

My knees are a lot better now. I initially thought skating was making them worse coz it hurt after each session, but i later realized that it was working my knees muscles, not busting them. Anyway, it's hard to skate now coz the sun disappears by 5pm..sad.

Ah Han.. where's your blog entry of the week??

Too many things on my plate this week. Also, a headache I haven't been able to shake since the weekend so haven't been online much. Will post blog on Sunday.

He was young and fresh then ^_^

Well, I'd liken him to wine, rather than a veg :P I'd prefer to have that comparison myself anyway.
