Anzac Long Weekend

I think this is ta last long weekend for a looonnng time. It will be crunch time for me back at work after tis coz my projects KPIs will be due by end June. Shouldn't be an issue.. but I will be busy. Ivy & I had a simple picnic at a park in warragamba. We just picked ta location out of a bushwalking book.. it was nice. Will probably organize a BBQ there with more people ta next time.

Our picnic view

I have an addiction in fishing lately.. It's quite convenient coz ta water is right at our doorstep.. and even better tat I have been catching stuff ^_^

Look at my latest catch ^_^

As usual, Ivy had a larger catch

It's good that you have a fun & relaxing weekend. As for me, I was down with viral fever (strep throat) since Wednesday and it is a really nasty one. Luckily, I managed to recover today. My weekend was wasted/burned on fighting the viral fever.

Your fishing craze, reminds me of our younger years where your father brought us to Stulang Laut's jetty for fishing. And we only catch small fishes.

Enjoy!

mich..you are correct!! I missed that one ^_^ Ah... now i have something else to look forward to ^_^

ah yang..do you pop multi vites on a daily basis?? you should if you don't. it helps. In the absence of family, close friends and without kids.. i need to constantly find stuff to keep myself entertained coz i tend to get really moody if i get restless & unmotivated. i should take up RC Aeroplanes really soon ^_^ will post up photos once i decide on what to get.

I'd have thought the solution was staring you in the face, so to speak: get some kids! :)

If you're taking up RC planes I'd seriously recommend the jet turbine powered ones. Just starting one of those up takes 90% of the work (no more excess time issues, yay!) but they sound simply AWESOME when they light up!

Apparently hideously expensive, though, so you might want to hit eBay up for used ones.

yyee.. i normally tag along wif a group of msians who are into rc planes. apparently the jet turbine rc planes are banned here. they do however have propeller type turbines which looks similar. they look and sound nice, but not a fun thing to play coz they can't really do many tricks (only fly really fast in a straight line) i will post up photos of these the next time i go out with the group.

rc?? hmm... all i see around here is big boys & their rc cars. imagine, this morning going to the market, and there was a rc shop opp the market, and it was open at 9am, packed with boys... ;-)

Ah.. then we can go fishing when you come to Melb or when I go to Sydney. However, my preference is salt-water variety. Tried rock fishing?

My friend & I are thinking of going to Cairns again - out in the sea. 2x out on the charter and then 1 day of crabbing in the river. How? Interested?

AK.. sounds tempting. But i think i have too many hobbies at the moment, won't have spare off days to spend 3-4 days in Cairns. Kinda allocated all my off days tis year for other stuff already ^_^ Thanx for ta invite.

Whoa, I'm really envious. You guys get to have soooo much fun. All my time is sucked up with work and the girls. Weekends are keeping them entertained. :).

BTW, I think turbined powered planes are also banned in Singapore. At least I've not seen any here. There's a few groups that fly their planes just downstairs from my home. Of course as a backdrop sometimes we see the F16s flying out from the airbase further back. Sigh, now that's really loud...YY, this will really satisfy you on the noise factor :)

ah teng..nothing to feel envious about. i only write gud stuff happening in my life in tis blog. bad moments do happen quite often too. most of you are spending quality moments with your kids at the moment..which i don't mind going thru too ^_^
