Seeing more

Ivy and I were tired of our weekly routine life.. so we decided to take short overnight visits to nearby holiday spots over the last two weekends. We thought it would be easy to book rooms since there is an alleged ecconomic slowdown.. what ecconomic slowdown nonsense! almost all rooms over most weekends in every known NSW holiday spot were fully booked. Anyway, we managed to hunt down rooms at wentworth falls in the blue mountains and kiama in the south coast. The good weather was a blessing and both locations were beautiful holiday areas.

our room view at wentworth falls. ivy likes the highlands... i am more of a beach person ^_^ however i dun think the mountain areas will be nice during the cooler months

the zig zag express at the blue mountains. nothing special.. we were taking advantage of a "buy one get one free" coupon  we had ^_^

me clowning around at a stop point of the zig zag express

pretty kiama

we stopped over a few vineyards at southern highlands on our way back to sydney from kiama...the vineyards here are small. it's a lot better at hunter valley.

ah ben

2 different views:
I don't think we made these trips because we were tired of our routine life because there is no routine life! Every weekend is different even though we may seem to be doing similar things sometimes(and that's life!). The trips were mainly to make use of daylight savings before it's gone! Enjoy nature and fresher air. Anyway, both trips were good, especially the latter, i.e. Kiama & vineyards.

I actually found the zig-zag train ride quite interesting, though not the train itself but the views instead.

Wah... nice romantic getaway. I'm more of a river/highland person than beach. Says a lot about a person. But I love nature.

When are we going camping? We should plan for one. Am planning to go to Cairns for deep sea fishing in April 24. Wanna come along?

Woo.. posted in Melbourne. For how long? It's winter during that time and I doubt my equipment is winter-ready. Might have to wait for spring and that's still pretty cold. Kinglake has a campsite but with the recent bushfire, I'm not sure if it's still there. Otherwise we can head to Wilson's Prom

errr.. it's a really remote chance. company hasn't won the job yet ^_^ they only touched base with my colleagues and me on the possibility.

At least you can just up and go whenever you have the desire :) ... whatever the reason. That's enough to have a good time.

Your one-for-one deal sounds typically Chinese ... can't let a free offer go by ... heehee ... I can relate to that!

Hmm...I'm envious. You guys can just up and go for a weekend holiday away. That's something I have not done in yonks...maybe something to do with the 2 princesses.

Just got back from the States this week. Was there for 1 week. Overall pretty cold, but a nice change from the heat here. :)
