Quickie

Spore Reception Photo Collage.. taken and edited by Wendy (ivy's cousin)..she had a BIG Canon EOS30D camera.. put our hobbyist Nikon gang to shame :-P

Just a quick blog entry. Haven't had the time to edit the Spore dinner reception photos. For the time being, I will only post a collage pix of the night that was done up by Ivy's cousin. Ivy put in a lot of effort to make the spore reception special and it did look really nice. The big difference btw the spore reception from the JB's was that most of the guest arrived really LATE! Must be a spore thing. It was really nice catching up with the old beddoe gang.. will post pix of them next week. Flying back to Sydney in a few hours time and heading to NZ after that. I need more Zzzzz ^_^

Hi Karen

Thank you. :) Red is one of my favorite colors. Anything that is red, dash for it like a bull. :P

Those little gifts were specially hand-carried from Japan. I had a hard time searching for the gifts. They had to be small and neatly packaged and light enough for me to carry them on board since I needed to get about 80 pieces. Had a marathon shopping session prior to departure from Narita airport. It was a total relief when I finally found them. There were lots of other lovely gift options too(those pretty Jappy ones nicely packed with a dainty bow or ribbon) which I would have chosen if I had another person to help carry them back. One person could only do that much, I suppose.

Alright, have to get ready for the NZ trip. Yak yak again.

How long's the honeymoon in NZ ? I assume it is a honeymoon...did not have a chance to ask during the time here...for some reason, questions like that seemed to have not cropped up.

Enjoy NZ guys and it was really great catching up. It really felt like all that time has not passed...ok starting to get nolstagic...{wiping tears from my eyes}...

Ah Khoo, you know what, I agree with you on the features thingie. The more complicated the equipment the more prone to failure :). Actually, for my Canon, Cat spends more time on it then I do...Ben and al can attest to that :)

Very good photos. I wasn't there but I'm sure it captured the everything - the mood, the intricate props, your being extremely happy with the whole thing, etc..

I'll see if I can wrangle a trip to Sydney & I'll bring the family as well.

Sorry.. took so long to reply the blog. No access to computers during our NZ trip. I think that's the 1st time in a really long time that i did not touch the computer for 5 days.. oooohhh ahhhhh.

The trip was great. No killing each other. Need sometime to edit the pix though. I can't even upload the pix into my laptop coz i only have 1 gig of free space on my hardisk and i took about 2 gig worth of pictures! (large files coz i took in raw & jpeg)

I did get a new 160Gig HD from Spore.. will need sometime to install everything.. but i should post a few pictures by monday night ^_^

Ah Khoo/Ah Teng.. if you compare the pictures of this spore reception blog with that of the JB reception blog, you will notice that the spore reception photos are more vivid in their colors. That's the advantage of Canon higher end cameras as compared to our hobby Nikon D50 - D80 :-P
