Yuppee life

2 weeks just whisked by again..scary. I really should make more effort to go out and snap more creative photos. I can only remember 3 meaningful events tat happened. Ivy passed her 3rd MCSE paper. One more paper to pass before she can call herself a "certified microsoft admin" ^_^ I doubt i can push myself to study daily as she does. 2nd event.. watching the Dark Knight. It's a good movie. Easily the best i have seen in a long time. Lastly, ivy and me visited a japanese girlfriend of her's in Coogee. She married a local and now lives in the yuppee beach area of Coogee.pretty sea view from yuriko's balcony ^_^ i have a better pix of ivy and yuriko standing there.. but i was banned from posting it.. sigh

Just took delivery of my new D700.

I'd post pictures, but can't as my Mac doesn't currently recognize it (too new?) BUT I can say that taking photos in low light and HAND-HELD is now do-able!

I was pleasantly surprised when I got perfectly sharp shots at 7.45pm in the evening at ISO560, f2 and 1/30.

And being FX format it uses all my old lenses- the twilight shot above was done with a 14 year old 50mm/f1.8 prime.

Eat mah shorts, Canon users! Eh, time to change system?

yyee.. show off! ^_^ anyway, only lingie owns a canon. alan and me have a nikon.

btw, i am thinking of starting a photography group. we decide on a photo theme, give ourselves 4 weeks and upload our top 5 photos onto a flikr site. we comment on each others photos and vote on our top 5 (can't vote your own photos). sooo.. anyone interested??

Just chalking up frequent flyer points mah.... :D
Nature of the job. Don't want to travel if didn't have to.

I know the theme for first photos.... KINKY...?? Heh? Haha... Sure, sounds like a good idea. The challenge is finding the time. As you know with photography, the timing (which dictates lighting) is important.

Hey, what's wrong with a canon...just because I buck the trend. I'm pretty happy with my 400D.

I don't mind joining in Ben, but I don't I'll have the time, and the only theme I can join in will be babies :)...heh heh...those are the only photos I've been taking.

He has a full time job to support his hobby. He's sorta semi-pro. Can anyone guess what camera he uses?

Photography again! Ai-yo.

Hi Ivy, you are really good. MCSE administrator! Wow, now I know who to ask for help when come to Windows issue. Keep up the good work. You definitely better than me now :)

Hi Goat

It shouldn't be called MCSE administrator. It should be MCSA (A=Administrator). I will most likely stop at "A" instead of "E"(engineer). Enough of Microsoft! Looking at virtual stuff now. Seems more of a potential for the future since everything is moving towards virtual now. :)

Ivy,
Do you know how the SoftGrid technology works?

Hi Allan

Don't have any experience with Microsoft virtualization. I think VMware still leads in the virtual IT market.
Sorry, can't provide much info.
